The Canon PowerShot SX100 IS digital camera is wonderful.It is amazing how much the technology had changed in those 6 years. This camera actually makes me look like a photographer, & I have actually won three photo contests this fall with pics taken with this camera. it is a 8 mega pixel & has 10 x optical zoom. That enables you to get really close to your subject, but not fuzz the picture. It also has an picture stabilizer, so if you have shaking hands or the wind is blowing, you won't lose your shot. My favorite setting, & the eight I use the most often, is the plant/flower setting. It allows you to get in touching distance with your camera lens of objects & get a really clear picture. I have taken lots of close ups of flowers & water droplets & basically feel like an artist. I never thought I could take pics like this before buying this camera. it is definitely worth the funds you pay.I would recommend it for everyone.
